Level Assessment tests

Ensuring that potential students are of a suitable level of English for tertiary programmes can often be a time consuming and expensive undertaking. Previously, only external assessment was considered an acceptable benchmark of ability, but with changes in NZQA policy some institutions are now able to run their own internal test.

However, preparing an authentic, reliable assessment takes considerable time, which is where our Level Assessment tests can help. Prepared, trialled and benchmarked, you can be confident that our assessments will be an accurate reflection of a candidate’s ability in English.

We have run benchmark testing with candidates who have recently sat a formal assessment test.

The advantage for the institution is that they can conduct the assessment on site and get instant results, reducing the delay period between booking and taking an external assessment, and then awaiting the results.

We have been closely involved with assessments and benchmarking since 2003 and are British Council accredited. In 2003, we published a series of educational textbooks via Pearson Education, and in 2006 we built IELTStestONLINE, an online assessment preparation course.
